Interview of Mr. Hugo Redon Owner

Question 1: Do you already export to CHINA ? If yes, where ? If no, what type of importers & distributors are you looking for in CHINA ?

I’m Hugo Redon, i came back few years ago in the family business and i’m working with my big brother Adrien.

He used to be working with my father for 20 years. So we are now the forth generation to work in the wineyard and the Champagne.

We don’t export in China yet, that’s why i wanted to participate at the China award and start a new adventure.

Question 2: What is the most unique and qualitative part of your products, different from competitors ?

Trépail, our village, is situated on the east side of the Reims montain and we are lucky to have a chalky soil, and the Chardonnay loves it.

So all of our cuvee are mainly composed of Chardonnay with a little bit of Pinot noir.

The typicity of the Chardonnay is the freshness and the minerality, the Pinot noir will add more vinosity at the Champagne.

Question 3: When did you start to export your brand worldwide, and what is your development plan for the next years ?

We’ve started to export our Champagne 10 years ago in Europe first, and then in USA, and Japan…

We would really love to develop the exportation around the world and for sure in Japan.
